ALLENDALE, N.J. - (December 3, 2012) – Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Allendale recently presented a check for $2,860 to the Mahwah Center for Food Action on behalf of  Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Cares (CBRB Cares), the company’s philanthropic arm. Jim James, site manager for the Mahwah Center for Food Action, was on hand to receive the donation.

To raise the funds, Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Allendale held their annual garage sale to raise funds for charity through CBRB Cares on October 26^th. The Mahwah Center for Food Action, an organization dedicated to providing emergency food and homelessness prevention services in Bergen County, was chosen as this year’s recipient. Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Allendale office sales associates, led by Mary Jane Tarabocchia and Lynne Wexler, collected and organized items for sale by reaching out to other agents, past and present clients, and friends and family. Word spread via social media, as well, including the real estate office’s Facebook page. 

At the check presentation, James said he was elated at the support shown by the agents and the community to support the Center, and noted the ongoing need for food that would be well-served with the generous contribution.
