Mahwah residents and township officials hosted a memorial ceremony Tuesday night in recognition of the 11th anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks.
The ceremony included speeches from township officials, displays by Mahwah Boy and Girl Scouts and the fire and police departments and performances by Mahwah High School singers.
Add your photos of the remembrance ceremony to the Patch gallery above.

My Wife and I attended the 9/11 Ceremonies last evening. If not for the Scout groups and the Emergency Services, there would have been no one there except for the politicians. I am also a bit put out that during the National Anthem, the several photographers were scurrying about trying to get "the perfect picture" rather than paying their proper respects to the Country and those that were taken from us on that day. Shame on them.

I seem to remember seeing the police department honor guard there as well but there aren't any pictures or mention of them ...

Sorry, T-Bird! Unfortunately I wasn't able to attend the ceremony last night, but I just added the PD into the caption. If you have a photo of the honor guard, please feel free to upload it to this gallery, or email it to me and I will upload it. Thanks!
