Alleged Prostitute Arrested After Anonymous Tip, Cops Say
Cops charged 45-year-old woman with engaging in prostitution at Mahwah motels
An anonymous complaint led to the arrest of a New York City woman engaging in prostitution, Mahwah Police Chief James Batelli said Thursday.
Yit Har Chin, 45, was arrested late Wednesday afternoon at a Mahwah hotel, Batelli said. Chin was allegedly “offering sexual services for a fee,” at Mahwah motels, and was working there “independently,” Batelli said.
Chin has a prior arrest for a sex offense in Boston, Massachusetts, according to cops.
Police seized money and a laptop allegedly used for “criminal activities,” following the arrest, Batelli said.
The investigation into this incident, which is ongoing, is being led by Mahwah Detective Lt. Martin Clancy and Detective Kevin Hebert.

Let me see, 2 people consent to a sexual encounter and get a motel and an exchange of money takes place and somebody, (99% of the time the woman) goes to jail. But if 2 people consent to a sexual encounter, get a motel room and no money is exchanged... no crime??? Things that make you go 'Hmmmmm'

I don't understand: Why is it always just the prostitute who is blamed? If there were no "takers", there would be no such (illegal) sexual activity. The "takers", the ones that consent to paying for this activity, get neither mention - let alone by name - nor blame nor chance of persecution. Why is that? It takes two to tango, as they say....
