Battle of the Bands for Autism " A Success!"
Weekend event raised money for local high schooler's charity
A local sixteen-year-old who hosted a Battle of the Bands for Autism Awareness concert at Moe’s Southwest Grill over the weekend called the event “a big success!”
Kaitlin Reilly, who is currently working on the “world’s biggest puzzle,” which is 24,000 pieces, was overjoyed about the number of people and donations that came in to support her “Every Piece Counts” charity Saturday night.
“The music was absolutely incredible, the food was great, as always, and the support was unparalleled. I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank everyone for supporting all of the bands that played and also for supporting my project! Every Piece Counts is a labor of love and I am so thankful for the support and kind words I have been receiving,” she said.

At the end of the evening, Mahwah band The Escape Directors were awarded a $100 Gift Certificate to Sam Ash for bringing in the most supporters. Runner up performers also got Sam Ash gift cards.
So far, Reilly has raised about $4,000 of her $24,000 goal, which will be donated to Autism Speaks, a charity which works toward awareness and research.
