Boom Burger Grand Opening In Mahwah Thursday
Three-day grand opening event includes ‘social dining’ experience, UFC live
Notice the spotlights shining over Mahwah Wednesday night? They were coming from Boom Burger, a new Route 17 restaurant planning its grand opening this Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
According to the restaurant’s Facebook page, the Grand Opening will be a three-day long celebration starting Thursday night.
According to Boom Burger owner Peter Karounos, the new place combines aspects of a restaurant, a bar, a nightclub, and a phrase he has trademarked called “social dining.”
The term, he said, refers to the energy of an establishment. Boom is a place where patrons can go not only to eat, but also to interact with one another.
Karounos decided to convert his former restaurant, the NY Steakhouse location next to the Mahwah Doubletree, to a Boom Burger after launching one in Rochelle Park last December. He said the “fresh concept” has done very well there, and he wanted to bring it to Mahwah.
Boom Burger has seating for almost 300 people, two bars, and over 40 televisions inside. One of the bars is indoor-outdoor, so via garage door type windows, diners on the inside can mingle with customers at the outdoor patio.
This weekend, as part of the grand opening, UFC’s live pay per view event will be on at Boom Saturday night.

sounds good to me but wait....
isn't it too close to the high school
where's the traffic study
it will kill local businesses
it will bring outsiders into our town

Really? Do you live in Mahwah? Boom Burger used to be the NY Steak House. Only the food and the name has changed!
