CFA Seeks Back-To-School Supplies

Check the list of donation recommendations

The Mahwah Center for Food Action is looking for a different type of donation next month. The charity organization, with a location on Ridge Road, usually collects non-perishable food items. For the month of August, in addition to food, the CFA is also looking for school supply donations.

According to CFA Director Jim James, the back-to-school supplies are given to children of families who receive food donations from the CFA. “We would appreciate any help [residents] can give to the children of the families that comes to the Center for Food Action for help,” he said.

The CFA is asking for donations of the following back-to-school items:

  • Back Packs (Boys and Girls)
  • Highlighters, Post-it Notes
  • Pencils, Pens, Crayons
  • Marble Composition Notebooks
  • Spiral Note Books
  • Loose Leaf Paper, Rulers,
  • Glue sticks, Scissors
  • Colored Pencils, Erasers,
  • Pencil Cases
  • Index cards, Assignment pads
  • 2 pocket folders
