The Mahwah Center for Food Action is looking for a different type of donation next month. The charity organization, with a location on Ridge Road, usually collects non-perishable food items. For the month of August, in addition to food, the CFA is also looking for school supply donations.
According to CFA Director Jim James, the back-to-school supplies are given to children of families who receive food donations from the CFA. “We would appreciate any help [residents] can give to the children of the families that comes to the Center for Food Action for help,” he said.
The CFA is asking for donations of the following back-to-school items:
- Back Packs (Boys and Girls)
- Highlighters, Post-it Notes
- Pencils, Pens, Crayons
- Marble Composition Notebooks
- Spiral Note Books
- Loose Leaf Paper, Rulers,
- Glue sticks, Scissors
- Colored Pencils, Erasers,
- Pencil Cases
- Index cards, Assignment pads
- 2 pocket folders
- 3 ring binders (1 inch and 2 inch)
- Colored Pens (Red & Green)
Items can be dropped off the to CFA August 6 through August 27. Or, the Center will pick up donations. See the attached flier for more details.
