The DZ Foundation, a nonprofit set up in honor of late Mahwah grad Dan Zolofonte, held its annual 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament Sunday.

According to organizers, the second annual tournament was meant to remember Dan and raise money for juvenile diabetes research. A full bracket, 32 players, entered the court for the tournament. By the end of the day, the Foundation raised over $8,300.

"For anybody who knew Dan, knows that this would be an event that he would've absolutely loved," Dan's friend and one of DZ's founding memners, said. "And I just think its a great tribute in his honor. And I hope every year this event will remind us all of how many people Dan touched."
