Kids and families in Mahwah preparing for Easter next weekend are in for an early treat. The township’s recreation department has invited the Easter Bunny to make an early stop in Mahwah this Saturday.

The Rec Department sent out the following announcement:

It’s time to Jump into Spring at Mahwah’s Annual “Meet the Bunny” festival to be held at Continental Soldiers Park on Saturday, March 23 at 1 p.m.  Bring the whole family for a fun afternoon of prizes, face painting, balloons, and egg coloring. All Mahwah residents are welcome. Rain or shine.  Mahwah’s Happy Hare will put a smile on every face.
