Ernie’s Voted Favorite Froyo Spot

Each week, Patch asks readers to vote in a Readers’ Choice poll on a different topic. With temperatures climbing this week, voters were asked to choose their favorite spot in the township for a frozen yogurt.
With 59 percent of the vote, Ernie’s Ice Cream on Franklin Turnpike was this week’s winner.
Ernie’s, which has been open since 2010, considers froyo one of its specialties. When the shop opened for business this season, Matt Tromontozzi, whose father, John, owns the business, said people like to go to Ernie’s for “that summer feeling.”

Hey Jessica - could you clarify the criteria by which a business can be voted for - or not. I noticed that for Sushi places, you considered Ramsey and Allendale to be qualified as "Mahwah" businesses?
Your intro always reads "Readers' Choice,"where you can vote on your favorite local business in Mahwah". May if people knew that their favorite FoYo places in other towns were eligible, the "survery" would have had different results?
