If you’ve got a do-it-yourself project that’s been on the back burner, an event this weekend may help give you a jump start. Mahwah’s Home Depot is hosting a “Fall Fun Festival” inside and right outside the Route 17 store this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Residents can get free estimates on roofing, siding, windows, heating, air conditioning, fencing, solar, sheds, and other projects, get a free water analysis, or watch demonstrations from Home Depot professionals.
Meanwhile, kids can play with the Mahwah Fire Department’s fire trucks, Sparky the dog, or check out a Mahwah Police Car demonstration. They can also check out the new "Mah=Rock" pumpkin patch or choose one of the many pumpking available for sale at the store.
"We really wanted this to be something that not only gives our customers a lot of information, but also is a fun community event,” Sharon Van Cisco-Boccadoro, the store’s home service lead generator who put together the Fun Festival, said.
The festival, happening only at the Mahwah location, will include fire safety, emergency preparedness, child safety seat inspections, and child fingerprinting from the Mahah PD, FD, EMS, and Mahwah Municipal Alliance.
There will also be vendors, food, raffles and prizes.

It would have been nice if this were posted a week ago so there was enough time to plan to attend? Too late now :(
