Mahwah's Halloween celebration has been pushed back for a second time, thanks to Hurricane Sandy and her aftermath.
Town Hall is now hosting a trunk-or-treat celebration Monday, Nov. 5, at 4:30 p.m. All cars that want to take part need to be there by 4:15 p.m., and the event runs until 6.
The event was originally re-scheduled for Saturday, but has been pushed back again to Monday due to the continued power outages in Mahwah. The new date is in line with Gov. Chris Christie’s executive order earlier this week canceling Halloween and urging municipalities to hold it on Monday.
This is the second year in a row that Halloween in Mahwah has been impacted by severe weather events. Last year, the October snowstorm stopped some residents from attending the parade, and prompted others to organize a trunk-or-treat.
