High School Actors to Put on 'Idiot's Delight' in Mahwah
Performances of the drama start this week
The Mahwah High School Drama Club is putting on a production of Robert E. Sherwood’s Pulitzer Prize winning play, "Idiot’s Delight," beginning Jan. 9 with a free performance for Senior Citizens at 4 p.m.
The play depicts an assortment of characters who are stranded in a ski resort in the Italian Alps at the precipice of World War II. Antics ensue due to the international cast of characters each harboring secrets.
Directed by Jean Johnson, Mahwah High School Drama teacher, the students have been working hard on the acting, the language, set design and costumes. Performances are at 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 10 through Saturday, Jan. 12, and a 2 p.m. matinee on Sunday, Jan. 13.
Tickets are $12 for adults and $7 for students and teachers. This show is not appropriate for young children. Contact MahwahDramaBoosters@gmail.com for more information.
