Flutist and Mahwah resident Patricia Lazzara will be joined by harpist Kristy Chmura for a holiday concert on Friday, Dec. 14 at 7:30 p.m. at the Mary Help of Christians Chapel at Don Bosco Prep.
The chapel has been used to host Chapel Concerts since 2006.
“The space, with its intimacy and marvelous acoustics, provides a beautiful setting for musical events,” Toni Bilotti Cecere, Director of Chapel Concerts, said. “We try to showcase a cross-section of world-class, young, and local talent, while providing cultural opportunities for the Don Bosco Prep and local communities. This concert, with local musicians, will provide a welcome a respite from the frenzy of the season.”
Patricia Lazzara has distinguished herself as a soloist, chamber and orchestral musician. She is a three time winner of the Artists International competition in New York City and gave her critically acclaimed New York recital debut at Cami Hall. She has performed as soloist for the National Flute Association Professional Flute Choir and won first prize in the North Jersey Philharmonic Concerto Competition.
