All week long, Patch is prepping for the holidays -- Thanksgiving, Black Friday and Small Business Saturday. For the shopaholics among us, check the following door-buster deals happening at major retailers in and around Mahwah. Patch will continue to update the list throughout the week as more specials pop up. And, if you know of a Black Friday deal we missed, tell us in the comments and we'll add it to the list!
Mahwah
The Home Depot – According to Home Depot’s weekly ad, sales at the home improvement store start Monday, with deals on appliances and holiday décor available at homedepot.com. According to BlackFriday.com, the retailer has been tight-lipped about its in-store Black Friday sales.
Ramsey
Staples -- Staples.com is starting the shopping frenzy early, with online specials Monday and Tuesday. Though Staples website has not listed its Black Friday deals yet, a leaked circular on ZDNet.com says the store will be opening at 5 a.m., and will have deals including an HP laptop for $299.99 and a Lenovo Twist Ultrabook, a Windows 8 convertible laptop, for $699.99.
Kohl’s – Kohl’s announced it will open its doors at midnight Friday, with door-buster deals on clothes, shoes, home goods, toys and jewelry. And, if you tweet a picture of you at Kohl’s at midnight @Kohls, you could win a $100 Kohl’s e-gift card.
TJ Maxx – No official word from the retailer yet, but published reports say the store will open at 7 a.m.
Game Stop – According to a report from VG 24/7, the store will be selling the “Xbox 360 Holiday Bundle, which includes Skyrim and Forza 4 for $249.99. While Best Buy has it $50 cheaper – GameStop is also tossing in a free copy of Black Ops 2, so this is your best bet, really."
Michael’s – According to TheBlackFriday.com, Michael’s will have a 3-day sale, Thursday from 4-11 p.m., Friday from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday, the store is offering a door-buster deal on Christmas trees, 50 percent off the entire stock of 6-foot or taller trees. JoAnn Fabrics – The craft store is having door-buster deals Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday on items like nutcrackers, candles and yarn. The JoAnn website lists the Cricut Expression 2 Personal Electronic Cutter as on sale Wednesday for $179.99, down from its regular $299.99 price. Though Black Friday deals are not yet on its official site, Black Friday Magazine reported the store will open at 6 a.m. Friday, with deals like the Cricut V1 Personal Electronic Cutter = for $79.99, down from its normal $199.99, a Fiskers Fuse Creativity System for $100 off, a Singer Tradition 2250 sewing machine for $77.99, and big sales on fabrics and holiday decorations.
Modell’s – According to a leaked ad, most Modell’s locations will open at midnight, and offer the biggest savings on apparel and shoes.
Nearby
Walmart -- The nearby location in Suffern, N.Y. will open at 8 p.m., but offer its biggest deals from 10 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Thanksgiving night. The store will offer three items at low prices—an iPad for $399 (plus a $75 gift card), a 32" HDTV for $148 and a Blu-ray player for $38. If the store runs out, you can still buy them at discounted prices but you must register for them online by midnight and have them delivered to your local store. Target -- Target, which has its nearst locations in Spring Valley and Clarkstown, N.y., and Riverdale and Paramus is reportedly opening at at 9 p.m. According to an ad leaked online, the best deals will be for TVs, a Nook, a Nikon camera and an XBOX 360 Kinect bundle.
Best Buy -- The closest locations, in Riverdale, Paramus and West Nyack, are set to open at midnight. Doorbusters include deals on TVs, phones and Samsung laptop bundles, according to a leaked ad on BlackFriday.com.
Palisades Mall – The Palisades Center in West Nyack, N.Y. opens at 12 a.m. Friday morning. A special mall-wide promotion is handing out free American Express gift cards to the first 300 shoppers on line at the mall. The cards are randomly valued between $10 and $100, and a grand prize winner will score a $1,000 shopping spree. A minimum purchase is required to be eligible. Get more information here.
The Garden State Plaza – The Paramus mall will open, according to a calendar of its holiday hours, at 7 a.m. Friday, and will be closed on Thanksgiving.
Paramus Park Mall – The mall is set to open at 7 a.m. Friday, according to its online shopping calendar.
The Outlets at Bergen Town Center – The Paramus shopping center will open at 7 a.m. Friday, with sales already listed on its website. Some of the biggest deals are on clothes and chocolates.
Woodbury Common Premium Outlets – The shopping center has listed on its website deals that will be available Friday at nearly all of its 220 outlet stores. The Commons is set to open at midnight.
