This Thursday, Mahwah tweens and teens will be celebrating the single life.
The Mahwah Public Library is hosting an ‘Un-Valentine’s Day’ Party Thursday afternoon for fifth through twelfth graders who are not excited about the card, candy and flower exchanges happening elsewhere in the township.
According to Teen Librarian Denise Jukniewicz, activities at the event may include decorating un-heart cookies, re-writing heart candies with alternative messages on them, making anti-Valentine’s Day cards for one another, and creating un-Valentine’s Mad Libs. Kids can also look forward to games like beach ball volleyball and videogames.
The party is after school, from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. on Valentine’s Day at the library. Get more information here.
