Help the fire department fight fires by making sure the hydrants near you are cleared off
The Mahwah Fire Department sent out a reminder to residents that cleaning up fire hydrants in town is ‘essential’ after every snow event.
Representatives of the MFD clearing hydrants is a critical help to them as snow-covered hydrants may be difficult to locate or time consuming to dig out during a blaze.
So, the fire department’s challenge to the community: adopt a hydrant.
