Reminder: George Washington Clothing Drive Starts Thursday

HSO drive is looking for items like clothing, belts, shoes, purses, stuffed animals and bicycles

The HSO at George Washington Elementary School is putting on a clothing drive beginning Thursday. As you start weeding through gently used garments to see what you have to give, here's what you need to know about the drive:

  • George Washington Elementary on Fardale Ave is having a clothing drive from 9 a.m. on Thursday, Oct.11 through the 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13.
  • There will be a drop off container located in the driveway on the right of the school.
  • Items should be contained in securely tied large bags.
  • Items such as clothing, belts, shoes, purses, stuffed animals and bicycles are accepted.
  • Only hard plastic toys are accepted in boxes maximum size of 24" by 24" by 21".
  • The items are donated to relief victims inside the United States and if there is a natural disaster outside the U.S.
  • Some of the proceeds will go to George Washington School to support the many student activities offered throughout the school year.
