Report: Average Home-Sale Prices in Mahwah Up in 2012
But, the average price of a house in Mahwah is still down 14.2% from what it was in 2008, report says
The average sale price of a home in Mahwah was slightly higher in 2012 than it was the year before, NJSpotlight.com reported in an interactive map.
According to the article, the average residential sales price of a Mahwah home in 2012 was $486,718, up over $5,000 from 2011’s average price - $481,453.
Last year’s average price is still down, however, from the average in 2008, which according to NJSpotlight.com was $567, 064.
From 2008 to 2012, average home sale prices in Mahwah have dropped 14.2%, the report said.
But, Mahwah’s uptick last year is bucking the trend. According to the report, the typical sales price dropped last year in about 75% of New Jersey towns.
