Employees put together 275 packages for the moms
To honor the National Day of Service and Remembrance on Tuesday, September 11, 2012, Stryker Orthopaedics welcomed representatives from Mahwah Marine Moms and North Jersey Military Moms to its Mahwah campus as part of a care package donation drive and community service event.
Employees collected items and assembled nearly 275 care packages to donate to the locally based organization. Mahwah Marine Moms and North Jersey Military Moms gather, wrap, and ship care packages to troops stationed overseas.
Bill Huffnagle, President, Reconstructive Division welcomed Terry Wendrychowicz, an“Original Mom,” and other military mothers from the organization.
“Giving back to the community is part of who we are at Stryker,” said Huffnagle. “I’m so proud of our employees and I’m proud that we are able to support an organization that reminds us to never take for granted the little things in life. It’s our hope that the care packages we’re sending to the men and women overseas provide them with a little piece of home.”
