Sunday evening, Mahwah hosted its annual tree lighting ceremony. The event included a visit from Santa, Mr. Snowman and a performance by the Joyce Kilmer Choir.

The kids did a great job, despite the fact that there were quite a number of people who felt it necessary to continue their chatter during the singing. It was rude and disrespectful and I felt bad for the kids. I wish folks would be a whole lot more considerate.

The energy and enthusiasm level was outstanding this year. We had a great time. Santa told us he was so happy to get all the nice cards from his friends. He won't be able to write back to everyone who gave him a letter as this is a very busy time of year but look for some more visits in the coming weekends.
