Vice Presidential Candidate Coming To Mahwah
Head to Ramapo College Wednesday morning to hear Libertarian Party vice presidential nominee Judge Jim Gray
Libertarian Party vice presidential nominee Judge Jim Gray will be at Ramapo College in Mahwah Wednesday morning, according to a release from his campaign. Gray is the running mate of former New Mexico Governor Gary Johnson.
Gray will be giving a speech at the Trustees Pavilion of Ramapo College at 10 a.m. Wednesday. The stop is part of his “eastern tour,” which includes a stop at the Marijuana Policy Project Fall Benefit in NYC Wednesday night. The event is open to the public.
Gray served as a trial judge in Orange County, Calif., for 27 years, and is known as a speaker and author.
Politically, he is known for supporting government regulation of marijuana-related activities, and for co-sponsoring the “Regulate Marijuana Like Wine” movement. He ran unsuccessfully for a US Senate seat in California in 2004.
The Johnson-Gray ticket is one of two main minor party teams running for President this year against incumbent Democrats President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden, and Republican candidates Governor Mitt Romney and Representative Paul Ryan. The other minor party with major ballot access is the Green Party, running candidates Jill Stein for President and Cheri Honkala for VP.
