Video: Ramapo River Stocked With Trout

Fishing season starts April 9

Though there was snow on the ground on Thursday morning, a sign of spring was seen at the Ramapo River, as the New Jersey division of Fish and Wildlife stocked various points of the river with trout.

Patch caught up with the truck at the Glen Gray road bridge, a spot frequented by local anglers and got a glimpse of how they go about the process.

Though the season doesn't open until April 9, the program to stock the rivers in New Jersey with fish ensures that there will be an ample amount of trout to be caught by the large number of fishermen in the state.
