What Should Replace Prime Time?

The day care center shut its doors this June; it marks the third vacant storefront in the Ramapo Centre

After 13 years in Mahwah, Prime Time Learning Centers, which was located in the Ramapo Centre Complex on Macarthur Boulevard, shut its doors.

Prime Time, which operates six other day care and early learning facilities throughout North Jersey, posted a note on its door and website announcing its decision to close its Mahwah location this June.

Prime Time representatives did not return calls for comment on why they shut the location, but did post the following on the company’s website:

After serving the Mahwah community since 1999, Prime Time of Mahwah has decided to close its doors at the end of June.

We have been honored to care for your children and the many children in this community for the past 13 years. There have been many happy memories; including numerous graduations, summer camps, school parties and day-to-day activities. It has been a pleasure watching the children grow from infancy to Kindergarten and beyond.

Again, thank you so much for the opportunity to get to know and grow with your families. We will miss you very much.

Prime Time marks the second business in the complex that closed this year, for a total of three vacant storefronts in the center.

Remaining in the Ramapo Centre are Dunkin Donuts, Mahwah Pizza and Pasta, Re/Max Realty, Gibling’s Footwear, The Grille, Touch of Class Cleaners and Excel Hair Salon.

So, Patch wants to know, what do you think should replace Prime Time? What do you think would be a good addition to the shopping complex? Vote in the poll and comment with your thoughts below.

A raw food or organic food market. There are just not enough of these in the area, and those that sell organic are too high priced.

Another affordable day care center would be nice. Maybe I can then afford to have two working people in my home. Every other daycare around the area is outrageously overpriced.

If YOUR Talking about "Indoor Liquor Serving Place", YOUR Out of LUCK!! State of New Jersey "antique Laws says: 1 "Indoor Service Liquor Permit allowed per 7 Thousand People of Towns Peopulation! So Mahwah has a Total of Maybe 6 or 5 Permits, Also the DWI Laws are Killing the Liquor Industry too!

Just Shows YOU that the "Economy" is NOT Doing GOOD in Mahwah at this Moment in time! The "Craigmere Area(Frankln Tpk) has WAY TOO Many Empty Stores and also the A&P Shopping Ctr too!

I suggest an Adult Learning Center, a "micro-Ramsey Adult school".

I've heard Shido Kan karate is moving from its current location to the vacant Prime Time space. Also was told by the owner of the dry cleaners a deli with an on site bakery is planned for the vacant deli.

I think a laundry mat would be prefect for the spots as this side of town needs something like that with all the condo's on Ridge Road.

So YOU Would "Shop at a NON-Union" Food Store Chain that doesn't give "Health Insurance & Benefits" for its employees so that YOU can Be a Un American and get things 1 cent cheaper, than the "SHOP RITE" supermarket in the Ramsey Nj Location. mmmm Must be a CHEAP S*&t person.

I guess YOU also like to "Be Un American", and Not Support your fellow Working Class people by shopping at a "Non Union" Food Store Chain, a Employer known for Treating its employees like:GARBAGE, and NOT Giving the Employees No Health Insurance or Benefits just so that YOU can get something for 1 Cent Cheaper.. Your a Piece of Work for Supporting that Food Store Chain..

Guess YOU LIVED in Paramus, YOU SHOULD HAVE STAYED There if YOU Need YOUR: Non Union, Employer Discriminates against Workers Food Store Chain.

I think a good bagel store should reopen in the old bagel store. A chase bank or a Walgreens would be great in the daycare although I wouldn't want gallos to lose business

Does.... Gallos have a "Liquor Retail Permit"? Then they will NOT Loose any MONEY!!
They will Pick up their Income from "Retail Liquor Sales"!!
