Welcome back, Patch Blogger!

Careful This Holiday

It has been a hard 24 hours for our town. Your emergency volunteers worked non-stop to help put out the numerous electrical fires and have made rescues all around the county.

We are hoping for a nice peaceful evening to rest. With power out and many wires down, it is still very dangerous to navigate our streets. After dark the danger is even intensified.

Not many areas of Mahwah have power.  Wednesday is Halloween. We expect that cabin fever is setting in and understand kids need a release from the stress of the past week.

If your situation permits, please use caution when venturing out.

The only neighborhood currently with power and no wire issues in Company One's zone would be the streets running off of Kingsbridge (Franklin Crossing, Stephens Lane and Franklin Heights). Also, the businesses in the A&P shopping center have power and traditionally will give out treats.

If other areas are cleaned up and appropriate for trick-or-treating, please post them here.
