On 1/9/2013, Milo's Kitchen chicken strips, Canyon Creek and Waggin Train chicken strips have been voluntarily recalled by the mfg for antibiotics banned in the US. They have nice names but yes they are products of China.
*On Nov 18, 2011 the FDA issued a warning on all chicken strips made in China (the third warning since 2007)
*On May 24, 2012 Time magazine news feed reported 1000 instances of illness from chicken strips made in China
The illness includes vomiting, diarrea, kidney failure and death
*On Sept 18,2012 NBC San Francisco affiliate did an investigative report on chicken strips. the report claimed that there were 2,200 cases of illness and 360 deaths linked to chicken strips from China.
What is unusual is that the FDA cannot pinpoint why the strips cause illness it could be the antibiotics in the chicken or even the chemical that makes them shine.
When choosing treats make sure you lokk over the package carefully it may say it is "distributed in the USA" but somewhere else it may say "made in China"

I am confused. I just looked at the label on my Booda bones...distributed by Aspen Pet Products....Clearly states Made in the USA.....what I look for before I purchase....but this site says they were made in China....How can I know for sure???

Alyce I believe it was the chicken strips and chicken jerky that are from China. If you google" Booda bone recall" there is all kinds of info including the FDA report.

My yorkie has been given these chicken strips by Milos kitchen for quite awhile now, and i thought stores were out of them due to how much my Maylee loved them. She has been suffering with a horrible skin rash for the last lotta months, and we have changed her food 3 times!! Now I am wondering if its been the chicken strips from CHINA!! My next dog will be a vegetarian, like the rest of the family!
