  help two students from the impoverished Caribbean&nbsp\;country remain 
 at the college to earn their bachelors degrees is Sunday\, March 11\, fr
 om 3 to 7p.m.\n&ldquo\;&lsquo\;Haiti Day&rdquo\; offers an ideal opportu
 nity for the public to assist two outstanding and determined students wh
 ile learning about their country&rsquo\;s rich history through film\, mu
 sic\, art and food\," said Edouard&nbsp\;Eloi\, a member of Ramapo&rsquo
 \;s&nbsp\;Haiti Scholarship Fund Organizing&nbsp\;Committee and the Oper
 ations Manager at the school's&nbsp\;Berrie&nbsp\;Center for Performing 
 and Visual Arts. &ldquo\;We encourage everyone to attend what promises t
 o be an exciting and educational afternoon.&rdquo\;&nbsp\;\nClifford Den
 is and Roselaure Charles last fall successfully completed their first se
 mester as full-time college students and started their second semester i
 n January. They came to Ramapo College as part of the Haiti Scholarship 
 Fund&rsquo\;s goal of giving students educational opportunities not avai
 lable in the Western Hemisphere&rsquo\;s poorest country\, whose educati
 onal system and infrastructure remain devastated by the Jan.\, 2010\, 7.
 0 magnitude earthquake.\n&nbsp\;\nFollowing graduation Denis and Charles
  plan to return to Haiti and use their skills to help others. But first 
 the Scholarship Fund must raise $100\,000 to cover Denis&rsquo\; and Cha
 rles&rsquo\; room and board for the next three years. All proceeds from 
 Sunday&rsquo\;s silent auction\, and any other donations made\, will be 
 directly applied to the students&rsquo\; room and board costs.\nAll dona
 tions are tax-deductible. Auction items range from gift baskets provided
  by local restaurants and businesses to significant Haitian artwork from
  the collection of Oscar Award-winning director Jonathan Demme.\nRamapo 
 College has a long tradition of promoting Haitian culture. The school&rs
 quo\;s Rodman Gallery is home to a renowned collection of Haitian art\, 
 and the college has cultivated academic and cultural ties with Haiti for
