 ildren ages 8 to 11 will be held at&nbsp\;Abma's Farm&nbsp\;March 3 to A
 pril 28\, 2012. The international youth gardening program is run by the&
 nbsp\;Rutgers University Cooperative Extension 4-H Networkand comprises 
 curricula designed to allow youth to explore their world through meaning
 ful horticultural and environmental science activities that:&nbsp\;\n*&n
 bsp\;engages&nbsp\;children in novel\, hands-on group and individual&nbs
 p\;learning experiences&nbsp\;that provide a love of gardening and culti
 vate the mind\;\n* encourages leadership&nbsp\;development\, personalpri
 de\,&nbsp\;responsibility\, and community involvement through the incorp
 oration of&nbsp\;service learning&nbsp\;projects\, which enable youth to
  make a positive contribution to their community\;\n* allows youth to in
 teract and bond with nature&nbsp\;so that as they go through the JMG pro
 gram they can learn to conserve our natural resources and make knowledge
 able decisions about the environment.\nParticipants will learn where foo
 d comes from\, with a concentration on vegetable and herb gardens\; how 
 to choose\, plan\, plant and harvest a garden plot\; nutrition in the ga
 rden\; materials you can make using your harvest\; and how to care for t
 heir plants.&nbsp\;\nStudents who participate in all activities will be 
 eligible for one of eight Junior Master Gardener pins. Once all eight ch
 apter pins are earned\, the student can qualify for the prestigious Juni
 or Master Gardener Certification.&nbsp\;\nClasses will be held Saturdays
  from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. beginning March 3. Class size is limited to 10 s
