For many youngsters some of the best entertainment ever seen can be found at a circus. I mean you get to see a little bit of everything from elephants to lions, maybe even a trapeze. Well for all of us here in this area that follow the New York Yankees, the Circus is Coming this week and its name is AROD. Alexander Emanuel Rodriquez is scheduled to rejoin the Bombers on the road in Arlington Texas. Get ready for controversy, unwise comments and statements, and outright comical mishaps ----yes indeed the Circus is Coming to the Yankees.

The sad truth is the Yankees desperately need AROD. The Yankees have no chance of staying in contention for the American League Eastern Division or any Wild Card without a huge infusion of homeruns and run production, aka Alex Rodriquez. Once again the other night in Boston Andy Pettitte pitched just good enough to lose as Boston beat New York 4-2. While Pettitte pitched well after the 2nd inning it was the 2 early home runs that rendered this game UN winnable for the Yankees, and at this point it is painful to watch. Seems to me that Andy may have stayed around 1 year too long and his performance this year can only be described as poor. Without run production the Yankees pitching staff walks a tightrope nightly that is undeserved. When Granderson, Jeter, Teixeira, and Arod are in the lineup you can make a bad pitch or two and still get a win. With Overbay, Wells, and Hafner you gotta see the Yankees as the NOT READY FOR FULL TIME PLAYERS. These players, part timers at best have used up all the talent they have and personally I cant stand to watch weak and meager hitting when there are runners in scoring position and the game is close.
So for the immediate future make some popcorn put some coffee on, sit back relax and enjoy as someone once said, THE CIRCUS IS IN TOWN!!!!!!
