A Mahwah-based environmental group is building trails this Saturday, and asking for the community's help.
In case you didn't know, MEVO has had a long history in trail building. Working with organizations like the New-York New-Jersey trail conference, we have built six-miles of low-impact hiking trails and rehabilitated 11 miles of hiking trails across Northern New Jersey and elsewhere.
This weekend will add another chapter to MEVO's trail building history as MEVO volunteers will be working with Bergen County to repair the Beechwood Trail in Hillsdale, New Jersey. Come to our event to get acquainted with shovels, hedge clippers, pulaskis, and other tools of the trail construction trade as we help make another hiking trail happen.
