National Curriculum Day Hosted on May 15 at The Learning Experience in Montvale

As part of the nation’s fastest growing early learning academy for children six weeks to five years old, The Learning Experience® (TLE®) Academy of Early Education located at 295 West Grand Avenue in Montvale will host its annual “National Curriculum Day,” along with 130 other TLE® centers nationwide, on May 15th at 6:30PM. This unique and free open house event will give parents and children an opportunity to not only learn about the latest advancements in early childhood education, but will also allow them to engage first-hand in learning activities as if they were once again back in preschool.

Featured at National Curriculum Day will be TLE®’s proprietary L.E.A.P.® (Learning Experience Academic Program) Curriculum that has been developed over more than 30 years by leaders in the early education field. With a well-rounded approach to early education, TLE’s L.E.A.P.® Curriculum offers programs that help children develop academically, socially, cognitively and physically at their own pace. Other highlights of the curriculum include:

• L.E.A.P.® Interactive – A participatory approach to learning utilizing a 77-inch interactive, Wi-Fi connected, touch-screen whiteboards. This technology enables broadened teaching techniques, including visuals, sound, and connectivity to real life examples. Available at participating centers.

• Fun With Phonics®– An all-inclusive, phonemic-based literacy curriculum specifically developed for 3-4 year olds. Through interactive activities and engaging reading experiences, children are introduced to essential language concepts in a fun and exciting way. The award-winning early reading program has nearly 90 percent of our preschool graduates reading by the time they enter kindergarten.

• Sign language – Children as young as infants are introduced to American Sign Language (ASL) on a monthly basis at TLE®. Studies suggest that children who learn to sign as babies outperform their peers on IQ assessments, even by as much as 12 points. Available at participating centers.

• Philanthropy – Developed in partnership with Make-A-Wish®, TLE®’s first-of-its-kind philanthropy program that teaches preschoolers the value of selflessness and giving.

• Foreign Languages – The Learning Experience offers two foreign language programs; L.E.A.P. into Spanish® and L.E.A.P. into Mandarin (Chinese).  Both programs serve as an introduction to the languages and cultures with Tito Toro® or Ping the Panda® characters as their guides.

• Manners Matter® –  Teachingchildren how to be respectful TLE® citizens is an important enhancement to our curriculum, and provides an opportunity to practice positive decision-making and build self-confidence.

“National Curriculum Day is not your typical early educational center open-house event,” said Stacy Riker, Director at TLE® Montvale. “Parents won’t just learn about what we teach children at our center.  They’ll be able to really dig in and experience for themselves all of the proprietary technologies and early educational programs we utilize at our center to get their children started on the path to a bright future.”

Additionally, TLE® prepares children academically and socially via innovative enrichment programs at no additional cost that teaches children to be creative, compassionate and innovative thinkers through use of music, math, science, dance, yoga, performing arts, and physical fitness. Available at participating centers.

Persons interested in attending the National Curriculum Day event are able to register by calling TLE® Montvale at 201-476-0200 or online at www.thelearningexperience.com.
