“NO BOUNDARIES 5K”& “RUNNING 101-10K” Fleet Feet Mahwah Offers Spring Training Programs

Fleet Feet Sports Mahwah is offering two 12-week training programs for beginner and intermediate runners.  The purpose of these programs is to introduce and enhance the participants to the lifetime fitness activity of running and to encourage them to live healthier lifestyles.

No Boundaries, the 5K program, is a beginner running program that will offer participants guidance and advice from experienced coaches, weekly group training runs, and educational clinics on topics such as proper nutrition, choosing the right gear, and avoiding injury, all within a fun and supportive environment.  The program will culminate with Ridgewood Run 5K, on Memorial Day, a goal which participants will work towards throughout the program.  New Balance is sponsoring the program along with Fleet Feet, and will provide each participant with a technical T as well as other favors.

Running 101, is a 10K training program for intermediate runners, who want to take their running to the next level. It too, consists of weekly group training runs, and educational clinics that will stress the additional disciplines necessary to train for longer distances. Running 101 will culminate with the Ridgewood Run 10K, on Memorial Day.  Asics is sponsoring the program along with Fleet Feet, and will provide each participant with a technical T as well as other favors.

Both programs will begin on March 8, 2014 and the group will meet every Saturday for 12 weeks. Informational nights will be held at Fleet Feet Sports, on March 3, 2014 at 6:30PM.
