Lions Club Carnival
The Saddle River Valley Lions Club, which runs fundraisers all year that benefit organizations in Mahwah and surrounding towns, is holding its annual Carnival Fundraiser. The Carnival, being held at the Lions Memorial Park in Upper Saddle River through Saturday, June 2, will include food, rides and fun. In addition, the Club will draw the winner of its 2012 Ford Mustang raffle at 10 p.m. Saturday. Get more information here.
All Natural Pet Event
For the second year a local business, Trapper’s Way, will be hosting an all natural pet event to be held at . This event is designed to provide information to pet owners on natural solutions for caring for their pets; from pet nutrition to alternative health options, such as acupuncture and chiropractic therapy, to pet friendly lawn care and natural solutions to flea and tick problems. Numerous rescue and shelter groups will be present to help unite abandoned, rescued and shelter pets with their new, safe, and forever home.
There will be scheduled presentations, demonstrations, samples and raffles. This is an outdoor event and leashed and socialized pets are welcome. The event is Saturday, June 2 (bad weather date June 3) at Ramapo College, Lots C and D, Mahwah, NJ, from 10:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Free admission for attendees. Mahwah’s 12U Travel Baseball Team is hosing a fundraiser car wash Saturday, June 2, from 9 a.m. to 12 noon at Commodore Perry Field. Funds raised will help the team get to Cooperstown this July for an annual tournament.
