Pokemon Black Version & White Version Tour 

Where/When: Saturday 10am, 12pm, 2pm, 4pm and 6pm; AMC Garden State 16; Garden State Plaza Paramus

Why Go: Families can attend a free screening of the new Pokémon feature-length film, Pokémon-Zoroark: Master of Illusions. You’ll also have an opportunity to play the demo version of the game and learn all about its new features.

Mardi Gras Weekend 

Where/When: Saturday and Sunday 10 am to 6 pm; NJ Children’s Museum, 599 Valley Health Plaza, Paramus

Why Go: Make a mask during craft time, get some beads and then strut your stuff during the cutest toddler Mardi Gras parade in town.

Pricing: $10 per person

Pancake Breakfast & Maple Sugaring Demo 

Where/When: Saturday 9:00 am, 9:45 am or 10:30 am; Environmental Center, 150 Crescent Ave. Wyckoff

Why Go: Bergen County’s annual pancake breakfast includes pancakes, maple syrup, sausages, and coffee, tea, or juice. Reservations required for breakfast. Also see a demonstration on maple syrup making from splitting wood to tapping trees to boiling sap. Syrup-making demos will be held at 10:15am and 11:15am in the Sugar Shack next to Depew Barn.

The Little Mermaid for Kids (ages 4+) 

Where/When: Saturday 1 pm and 3 pm; Saddle River Valley Cultural Center, 305 West Saddle River Road Upper Saddle River

Why Go: Watch as this classic tale is brought to life by Gooen’s Balloowins. This is a unique storytelling technique of balloon sculpturing and audience participation.

Pricing: $10 for members; $12 for non-members
