Friend Hosting Jewelry Party to Benefit Family Recovering from Fire

Stop by the Lia Sophia event next week at the Ramapo Reformed Church to pick up some jewelry and donate to the Mann family

Mahwah resident Michelle Ketendjian is using her business to help raise money for her friends Roger and Becky Mann, who lost their home in a fire earlier this month. The Lia Sophia jewelry advisor said after the fire, she felt she could use her position to both list the family’s spirits and raise money for them to continue to rebuild after the fire.

“I have been friends with Becky and Roger since my nephews started wrestling with their sons in 2010,” Ketendjian said. “My husband coached their son in football for a year. My brother in-law and my husband also coach both boys in wrestling every year.  Now, the Manns have become such great friends of ours that I call their daughter Destiny my ‘niece.’”

Ketendjian, who has been a Lia Sophia advisor for almost a year, is hosting a jewelry party at the Ramapo Reformed Church next Thursday, Jan. 24 at 7 p.m.

75% of all profits from the party will be donated to the Mann family. Also, “Becky and Destiny can have a jewelry shopping spree,” at a discount, to lift their spirits, Ketendjian said.

The Manns “are a wonderful family,” she said. “Becky and Roger would give you the shirts off their backs if you asked for it, so I wanted to give something back to them.”
