Summer is starting to sizzle and the Mahwah Public Library is thrilled to offer a great variety of programs and promotions to usher in the warmer weather. We're kicking off our dynamic Summer Music Festival, spotlighting an amazing array of talented musicians, and our tremendously popular Summer Reading Programs for adult, teens and children at the end of June.
The fun starts on June 23rd with a concert program by Miles Griffith Jazz Trio for kids and a “Cupcake Wars” contest for teens. Of course, we have a great a summer reading club for adults, too, starting with Bob Ivry visiting the Library on Monday June 30th to discuss his new book, The Seven Sins of Wall Street. Registration is open now and the fun runs all summer long with popular Summer Reading Programs for adults, teens and kids.
Back by popular demand, starting June 23rd, we’re re-launching our popular summer Reader Rewards Card program giving readers the opportunity to win some great swag just for visiting the Library! We're changing things up a little this year to make it easier to win great prizes just for reading. Every day a cardholder visit the Library to borrow a book, magazine, DVD or CD, we'll stamp their Reader Rewards card. They’ll win cool prizes like beach balls, t-shirts and tote bags for every ten stamps you receive. Reader Rewards start June 23rd and run until Labor Day.
The Library is also heading back to the pool this summer. This year, Children’s Librarian Chris Wilson and Teen Librarian Denise Jukniewicz will be hosting popular programs throughout the summer! They’ll be great stories, crafts and snacks for kids and teens to enjoy while they take a break from the water.
