Mahwah’s Environmental Commission hosted the township’s first-ever ‘Mahwah Park’s Day’ Saturday.

The event, meant to increase the use of Open Space in Mahwah, was sponsored by a $1,463 grant the Commission received from the Association of New Jersey Environmental Commissions.

It invited residents to events at 11 township parks, including live music at Winter's Park and Continental Soldiers Field, a nature walk at Lake Henry, open house at the Ramapo Reservation, and the dedication of the Joyce Kilmer Tree at Winter’s Park.
