Top 5 Mahwah Videos of 2012

Videos that helped tell important stories in Mahwah last year

Throughout 2012, bits and pieces of Mahwah news and culture were captured on video. Some of our choices for the Top 5 Mahwah videos of 2012 depict snippets of sad news – like the mother of a Ramapo College student killed in a car crash asking his peers to remember his character, or a fire destroying six condo units in Society Hill.

Others show exciting parts of Mahwah’s culture, like a concert by members of the Les Paul Trio in the late inventor’s honor, and a dance benefit organized by Mahwah High schoolers to raise money for the Gift of Life.

And one is not a Patch video, but one we posted from a YouTube postcard enthusiast who gave us a glimpse of the township’s history.

And, a couple of runners-up. These aren’t Patch videos, but good ones nonetheless. First, Dream Room Makeover, a charity organization that operates similarly to Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, submitted a video it made of a project volunteers worked on for a 9-year-old Mahwah girl and her family. Second is a Mahwah Fire Department video meant to attract new recruits to the department.
