Bon Jovi Tribute To Kick Off Summer Concert Series

Free concert is Thursday.

The acts performing at the TD Summer Concert Series at Ramapo College were chosen earlier this year. For the band kicking off the month-long event this weekend, the timing could not have worked out better.

Slippery When Wet, a Bon Jovi tribute band, is set to take the stage just three days after the actual Jon Bon Jovi announced a $1 million donation to the Hurricane Sandy New Jersey Relief Fund.

Odds are, Garden State residents will be even happier to hear ‘Livin’ on a Prayer’ or ‘I’ll Be There for You’ days after the big donation.

And, if that’s not enough to draw you to the free show, the fireworks display following the concert might be.

The annual concert series is hosted at the school’s bandshell, or inside the Bradley Center, if it rains.

Parking on campus for the show is $5.

The school has three other acts lined up to perform later this summer, including Shirley Alston Reeves, a Jimmy Buffett tribute band, and a Chicago tribute band.

All shows start at 8 p.m.
