Crowd Flocks to Sold Out Les Paul Birthday Party in Mahwah

Event raffled off three rare guitars autographed by Paul and James Taylor.

On Saturday June 14, at the Les Paul 99th Birthday Gala at Ramapo College, the winners of Mahwah Museum’s Raffle of three autographed Les Paul guitars were announced. 

Andy Emery was the winner of the first prize, a Gibson “Traditional” Les Paul 120th Anniversary Guitar with Les Paul autographed pick guard.  Second prize, a Gibson Les Paul Maple Sunburst guitar with pick guard autographed by Les Paul, was won by Joseph Casadonte. Rose Ellen Lorber-Termaat won third prize, a Fender Squire Bullet Strat autographed by James Taylor. 

The Gala, a celebration of Les Paul’s 99th birthday, was a packed house in the Trustees Pavilion at Ramapo College.  The sold-out event featured live and silent auctions, and entertainment by Bucky Pizzarelli, Ed Laub, Les Paul’s Trio, with Lou Pallo, Nicki Parrott and Frank Vignola, and Tom and Sandra Doyle.

Major supporters of the fund raising gala were Ramapo College, Gibson Guitars, Ronnie Gantz, Jim Wysocki and The Les Paul Foundation. Proceeds from the Raffle and Gala will benefit the Mahwah Museum.
