Popular reality show, "America's Got Talent," will be returning to the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark from Feb. 20 through Feb. 22.
Outstanding acts from the Season 9 Open Call auditions will be invited back to perform in front of celebrity judges Howie Mandel, Mel B, Heidi Klumand Howard Stern and host Nick Cannon in sessions filmed in front of a live audience.
The top acts will move on to compete during this summer’s live shows and vie for America’s vote.
The show broadcasted live from NJPAC’s Prudential Hall during the summer of 2012.
“We had a terrific time with the entire America’s Got Talent team two summers ago and are honored that NBC and FremantleMedia chose to come back to New Jersey Performing Arts Center,” said NJPAC Executive Producer David Rodriguez. “The success of AGT at NJPAC was a catalyst to making us a major regional venue for broadcast, including partnerships with NBC, HBO, PBS, BET and others. We are delighted welcome them back.”
For eight straight years, “America’s Got Talent” has ranked as the No. 1 summer reality series in total viewers. The 2013 season was also the top summer reality series on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49. “America’s Got Talent” is the only televised talent competition show open to any age and any talent. The winner takes home a $1 million prize.
