Savatage, Trans-Siberian Orchestra Guitarist to give Talk in Mahwah

Chris Caffery was raised in Mahwah.

The following was submitted to Patch by the Mahwah Museum.

The guitarist Chris Caffery will be at the Mahwah Museum on Saturday, May 17 at 2 p.m. With the permanent Les Paul museum exhibit as a backdrop, Chris will talk of his long history in the sounds and business of rock&roll and will happily sign autographs for our guests.

Born in Suffern, NY and raised in Mahwah, Chris began playing guitar at the age of 11. Some of his earliest memories include performing The Beatles song “Help!” for show and tell in kindergarten. Chris made his first demo record at the age of 14 and is best known for his work as a member of Savatage and the Trans-Siberian Orchestra.

Recently, Chris has been pursuing a solo career, releasing four albums since 2004.
