Mahwah Schools Ready for Opening Week Schedule
School starts next week. Check all the important dates you need to know here.
On the eve of Labor Day, students in Mahwah are getting ready to go back to school next week.
While you are out picking up last minute school supplies and that dress-to-impress outfit for the first day, check the opening week schedule below, recently posted on the Mahwah school district website.
Staff will return to school Tuesday, and the first day of classes is next Wednesday, September 4.

At the high school, there will be no science labs or music buses on the first day.
Next Thursday, all schools are closed for Rosh Hashanah. Classes resume on Friday, September 6.

The next week kicks off the district’s string of Back-to-School Nights. Check the dates below:
- Lenape Meadows – Tuesday, September 10
- George Washington - Tuesday, September 10
- Ramapo Ridge – Thursday, September 12
- Mahwah High School – Thursday, September 19
- Joyce Kilmer – Thursday, September 26
- Betsy Ross's BTS Night Date is unlisted on the district website
