Ramapo College Named One of the Best in the Northeast

Princeton Review rankings were recently released for 2014.

Students heading back to Ramapo College this month have a new distinction to be proud of - the school was recently ranked by the 2014 Princeton Review as one of the best colleges in the northeast.

According to a release from Ramapo, the school was selected as one of 226 schools in the Northeast section of its "2014 Best Colleges Region by Region" section.

Schools are ranked based on data collected from school visits, student surveys, and college-advisor opinions. The release explained some of the reasons Ramapo made the list:

In the surveys, Ramapo students praised the school for “having a small student to faculty ratio” which helps foster “a liberal arts education with individualized attention,” “the emphasis they place on outside learning and experience” and “professors that are aware of how to teach, motivate and inspire, instead of simply lecturing.” The business school and nursing program received overwhelming praise and were described as both “amazing” and “extraordinary.” Ramapo also received positive recognition for its “beautiful scenery,” “fabulous dorms” and for being a “small, unique, well organized and affordable school.”
