Dairy Queen Customer Appreciation Days: Half-Price Treats, Family Fun

Stop by Wednesday or Saturday for giveaways, a glitter tattoo artist and more

Loyal Dairy Queen customers will be treated to sweet treats this week at the shop’s annual Customer Appreciation celebration.

According to Mahwah DQ owner Janette Dilascio, Dairy Queens across the country will be participating in the annual event either this Wednesday or Saturday. The Mahwah store is doing it both days.

“I have a lot of customers who only come during the week because they work here, and a lot who only come on the weekends because they work during the week. I wanted to make sure everyone could enjoy it.”

So, all day Wednesday and all day Saturday, everything on the menu is half price. The customer appreciation days also include giveaways for kids, balloons and a glitter tattoo artist who will be in the shop from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday.

The Dairy Queen in Mahwah has been in the A&P Shopping Center since 2001. Dilascio took over the location in 2007. The store has been active in the community, and is currently serving as the drop-off center for donations for a family that lost its home in a fire.

“I really do love my customers,” she told Patch Tuesday. “We have a great customer base and they are all nice and supportive.”

Dilascio said she invites the entire community to enjoy the Customer Appreciation event.

“It’s definitely chilly outside, but you’d be surprised how coming into the warm store and ordering something cold can really hit the spot.”
