Macklemore to Perform at Garden State Plaza Microsoft Store Opening

Rap artist will perform in the mall's parking lot to help celebrate the store's grand opening, report says.

Grammy winners Macklemore and Ryan Lewis will help open a new store in Bergen County – and it’s no Thrift Shop.

According to an nj.com report, the rap superstars will perform in the parking lot of the Garden State Mall in Paramus this May as part of the grand opening celebration of a Microsoft store.

The grand opening celebration – set for May 22 – will start at 10:30 a.m., but the duo is not appearing until its 5 p.m. performance in the West lot, the report said.

The new Microsoft store, which plans to employ 45 people, will also be donating $1 million in software to local community organizations as part of its opening, the report said.
