Stryker Orthopaedics was honored by Mahwah Township Mayor Bill Laforet with an official proclamation making Tuesday, April 29, “Stryker Orthopaedics Day.”

Laforet formally recognized Stryker Orthopaedics for the company’s commitment and contributions to the Mahwah community and honored Stryker Orthopaedics’ team of first responders with the Diamond Award for the voluntary care and services they provide to their fellow employees.

“Excellence, is the result of caring more than others think is wise, risking more than others think is safe, dreaming more than others think is practical, and expecting more than others think is possible,” Laforet said when presenting the award.

“For all that you do and all that you continue to do for our town, for our community, for your colleagues and for your customers and patients, I say ‘Thank You,’ ‘Thank You,’ ‘Thank You.'”

What does Stryker do for Mahwah to have a special day to honor them? I've been in this town for quite a few years I certainly can think of other businesses large or small that also could be deserving of such a special day honor.

They haven't relocated yet, since the tax-hikes for we normal taxpayers cover most wish lists. Council members might get free spines many seem to lack. Maybe we'll see a Sunoco Day, with free tank-fills for all residents?
