Mahwah's Super Bowl Sanctioned Showcase Makes $11,500 for Charity

Funds from the MRCC event were donated to the Christopher Brandle Joy of Life Foundation.

A Super Bowl-sanctioned event in Mahwah raised $11,500 for a local charity.

In January, the Mahwah Regional Chamber of Commerce hosted the ‘Super Community Spirit Showcase,’ an event that celebrated teamwork and 100 area non-profits in honor of the Super Bowl in Bergen County.

Locals attended to learn more about the organizations and vote for their favorite one, as well as to chat with and get autographs from some Super Bowl winners. Whichever organization received the most votes was promised the proceeds of the night as a donation.

According to a recent announcement from the MRCC, the Christopher Brandle Joy of Life Foundation won the vote. Chamber members recently presented the non-profit, which works to fund pediatric brain cancer research, with an $11,500 check at the annual Chamber Luncheon.
