The Video “A Day in the Life” Wins Gold AVA Award and Bronze Telly
(February 11, 2014) New York, New York – Easter Seals New York is happy to announce that the pro bono video created by Jennifer Connelly Interactive Productions (JCIP) on its behalf has won the prestigious Gold AVA Digital Award for Video Production/Documentary and a Bronze Not-For-Profit Telly Award for the video entitled, “A Day in the Life.”
The AVA Digital Awards, which are administered by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals, defines the awards as “an international competition that recognizes excellence by creative professionals responsible for the planning, concept, direction, design and production of digital communication.
The 35 year-old Telly Awards, one of the most highly-respected in the industry, honors the best in film and video production worldwide. The judges come together to evaluate more than 10,000 entries each year for creativity and performance.
John McGrath, Chief Executive Director at Easter Seals New York commented, “We are not surprised that JCIP has won the gold and bronze awards. Anyone seeing the wonderful video will certainly agree with the judge’s decision. In our opinion, “The Day in the Life” would win an Olympic Gold Medal if video making was a sport.”
JCPR filmed the documentary throughout New York State, providing heartfelt insights into what the organization accomplishes in a typical day. Director Steven Stoke commented on the approach, “The filming took place in five different locations to give a true representation of the varied services constantly in motion. JCIP's goal was to emotionally impact the viewer by bringing to life the amazing people that Easter Seals New York helps on a daily basis.”
“These awards signify the importance of video communication in effective storytelling,” says JCPR CEO Jennifer Connelly. “With a significant story as the one Easter Seals has to tell, it’s humbling to see how the organization has been able to capitalize on the power of video to show how progressive they truly are.”
