Why not start small.... A challenge worth taking!!!

I can't tell you how often I hear, "I just don't have an extra 30 minutes to exercise.” The truth of the matter is, who does have an extra 30 minutes in their day to do really anything, let alone exercise. We have to make the time. But I have come to realize something, time is not always the true reason for neglecting to exercise, especially for a "new" exerciser. What tends to happen is a person will decide they are going to jump on the ban wagon and get in shape, try to live a more fit lifestyle, and head out for their 30 or 40 minute workout.  But what then happens is they get fatigued quickly, or get a cramp, or just cannot complete what they set out to do; they may even begin to feel frustrated or defeated. Have you ever been in this position? The end result here is that they usually don't make it out a second time. Do you know why? Because it was hard; they didn't like how they felt during or after the workout, and the thought of going to try it again is not so encouraging. Here is what I want to propose to you: if you are new at this, if you are going to pick up an exercise program for the first time in years, or even if it’s your first time ever, start small!!!  I am sure you have heard the saying "baby steps.”  So let’s try this: I want you to make a deal with yourself for the next couple of weeks to dedicate just 10 minutes of some form of activity. Take a walk, go up and down your stairs a few times, heck you can jog in place in front of the TV if you like! Just 10 minutes and you’re done! Do this for about 4 days, then every 2 days after that add 2 minutes onto the workout until you have reached 30 minutes. What do you think? Is this something you can commit to doing? I know you can do it, it's only 10 minutes!!!! Then every time you do your 10, 15, 20 etc. minute workout, come back to my post and tell us what you did, and how you feel!!!  Let’s call it "Fit for December!"  I will even share mine with you! My goal is to improve my  pull-ups. Currently I can do 3! I am trying to build them every day hoping to eventually be able to do 10 consistently (it's going to take a while but I am willing to try!)  So what do you say? Will you take on this challenge 10 minutes a day?

I will even donate 1 free week (3 sessions) of 5:30am Body Vengence boot camp to the top 3 people who stick to it and post their success here!
