Volunteer To Beautify Mahwah

Committee's Fall planting is this weekend

The Mahwah Beautification Committee will be working this weekend to spruce up the township with some festive autumn decor.

A group of volunteers will be meeting at the old train station at 10 a.m. on Saturday, October 20, for its next planting. According to committee members, residents would only need to donate about an hour of their time to help make the township a more attractive place.

"I think a lot of people don't come out because they think they'll be stuck helping all afternoon, which is not the case," Beautification Committee member Kim Bolan said. "Even if people can come for 30 minutes, it's a help. Just bring a shovel and help plant fall flowers for the town."
